Lucky Me!

That's how my life was so many years ago enjoying Sunday lunch with my godparents in Australia. My Godmother knew the secret of crafting the world's best Marinara Sauce...time. It would begin with that familiar aroma of onions and garlic filling the house and causing everyone to ask, "Is it ready yet?"
Then "soon" is what we heard.

And, as the process of layering each ingredient at just the right time and in just the right quantity would continue and, in the fullness of time, the most delicious Marinara Sauce was presented. It was perfection before our eyes and with mouths watering we would begin. The table would fall silent as those first few mouthfuls were savored. I can still see my Godmother's familiar smile knowing that her delicious creation was being savored by the family she loved!

With this delicious sauce I have tried to follow her example.
